The cloth
Most cotton is chosen for the photograph. Ours is chosen for July.
A compact-spun yarn packs the fibres tighter, so the surface stays smooth and the shirt keeps its line after a day in the heat. At 240 grams it has enough weight to hang instead of cling — the difference between a tee that reads expensive and one that reads like a giveaway.
Everything is garment-washed before it reaches you. What you buy is the size it will stay.

The house
Dar Al Èlite means house of the elite. We took the second half less seriously than the first.
The house started with one problem: nothing sold in Dubai was cut for Dubai. Imported weights that wilt by noon, or resort pieces designed to be worn once. We wanted cotton heavy enough to hold a shoulder and cool enough to wear from the marina to a table, with a mark small enough that you have to be close to read it.
